Late Friday afternoon, Rebekah was called into the travel office at the MTC and told that there was a problem with her Visa. She would not be able to leave early Monday morning,the 4th, with the 18 other Missionaries departing for Italy. She was really disappointed, the weekend was long and full of reflection, fasting, and prayer.
Monday evening, she was allowed to Skype us. She still hadn't heard anything about her Visa and the unknown was almost unbearable. She was really hoping to be in Italy for the Rome Temple Dedication that will be the 10-12th of March. As we were talking she said that through all of her prayers she had come to the conclusion that God was definitely capable of working a miracle and helping her Visa come through in time. So if that didn't happen and she was reassigned to another area while waiting for her visa then that must be God's plan for her and she would accept it (even though it would be extremely difficult).
It was so good to see her and be able to hear her thoughts and feelings. Even amidst disappointment and trial, she was smiling and radiated the spirit of God.
We are so proud of Rebekah, Sorella Acton, and her desire to trust in God.
