It's officially down to my last week in the MTC!!! Ahh!! I'm really excited but also super nervous! I feel like I've been saying that a lot but it's my constant emotion now days.
Sunday was a really good day! We always have district council first thing on Sunday and this Sunday we had the "Stake President" in there with us. At the end he talked to us about how he was one of the first missionaries in Italy, and how amazing it is that we are going to serve at this time, and that they now have a temple. He told us that we were foreordained to serve in Italy and then shared the scripture in D&C 138:56. The spirit while he talked just radiated off of him and it was amazing!! Afterwards we went to Relief Society meeting where my companion and I taught the lesson. The lesson was on recognizing the spirit and it went really well! After that we had sacrament meeting and then we had a class where we watched a video on how to teach repentance and the Doctrine of Christ and how important it is. Then later that night we had choir practice where we were practicing "Be Still My Soul", it was so beautiful and I loveeee our choir director and all his stories. Then we had devotional that night.
Monday, not much happens on Mondays, we just have our regular schedules and lots of class. However, we did do an on-line Skype TRC, we taught about the tender mercies of the Lord and how He is always a part of our lives. It went pretty well, but the connection was bad so we had a hard time having a discussion.
Tuesday, I always love Tuesdays because we get to sing in the choir and we have devo at night with a General Authority. It is always really beneficial to us. The devotional was by Elder Benanger from the Seventies and he talked to us that to become a successful missionary it is important that we see ourselves how God sees us.
Wednesday we had a workshop where we learned how important member missionary work is and how important it is for us to be hard working missionaries so that the members will want to trust us with their friends. We also had two lessons in Italian with our teachers which went really well, but they are getting harder on us as we approach the day we leave. I really love my teachers! The teacher we have at night is Fretello Harbin and he is so fun, he's very down to earth and blunt and we can tease and be sassy to each other. We laugh all the time and he also gives us really really good advice and spiritual insights.
Thursday we had service in the morning where I got to clean and scrub showers. . yaayy. . it was kinda gross but we did a good job, haha. Then we had study time, and class where we did a role play with the three Italian districts. Half of us pretended to be Italians on the bus and the others were missionaries and we had to talk and invite in 2 minutes. It was fun but it just showed us all how much we still don't know how to say. . .ahhh. Scary! Then in class at night our teacher had us do an activity and talk about perspective. I seriously can't express how much I love my district and my teachers.
Friday, today, we went to the temple again. It was such a good session and I felt the spirit so strong. I really love being in the temple and can't wait to be at the Rome temple!!
I love you all!!!
