Week 34 What a Blessing

Monday May 25, 2020

Yesterday, we finally had the opportunity to take the Sacrament! I can't express the overwhelming peace that I felt as we sang the Sacrament Hymn and I listened to the words come out of the Anziano's (Elder's) mouth as he blessed the bread.
Since being in quarantine, we Sorelle (Sisters) would just read over the Sacrament prayers and take a few minutes to ponder on the Savior. It wasn't the act of eating the bread or drinking the water itself that made the difference to me. But the Spirit is enhanced when a Priesthood holder righteously exercises the Priesthood Keys, of which he has been entrusted, so that we can remember the sacrifice of our Savior. It was such a special moment. I will NEVER take the Sacrament for granted again!

President and Sorella Smith came and visited our apartment and did interviews with us. I love them so much and I admire their positivity and strength during this whole pandemic. I have never seen them panic under pressure and every day I am always reassured that they were called here for a reason. They are exactly who I needed during my mission.

This week has been trying emotionally. I have gained so much more appreciation for my Savior. I have relied on Him and His example as I have needed to put myself aside to help and be strong for the people around me. Some days I feel so drained but I know that with the Savior I can face and overcome everything with added strength and confidence. I really LOVE being a Missionary!
